Neuroscot is the authorised UK distributor for Neuron Corporation, manufacturers of magnetic and smart card readers and encoders. Neuroscot has been in business for sixteen years, exclusively selling Neuron products. We are a technologically based company, as it has always been our aim to provide excellent technical support on the products we supply. We have personnel who are specialists on magnetic stripe and smart cards and systems. In addition, due to the close relationship we have developed with Neuron, we can supplement our own knowledge where necessary, by drawing directly on the expertise of the original designers in Japan.

Neuron was founded around twenty years ago to specialise in the design and manufacture of magnetic card readers, and fifteen years ago became a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi. By a process of gradual development the product range has been expanded to cover the full spectrum of card readers and encoders, resulting in the most comprehensive range of products available from any manufacturer. Neuron has continually demonstrated its ability to react rapidly to market requirements, and deliver the products required by our customers.

Neuroscot's customers currently include IBM, Safeway, ICL, Ingenico Fortronic, Meggitt Petroleum Systems and Cubic Transportation Systems. Applications include outdoor payment terminals for petrol, railway tickets and cinema tickets, bank cash deposit terminals, access control systems, POS and EFTPOS terminals.
